PLAZA – A public square or similar open area in a town or city.
Our performance workshops combine many elements of performing arts, with a regular focus on acting and delivery. We do like to bring in other workshop leaders from time to time, and let our members experience everything from dance to samba music.
Drama and Performance need first and foremost to be about having fun, about self discovery and of course the discovery of other characters, learning how to deal with them and react to them. We find at Performance Plaza that if we constantly focus on an end result, namely a public performance, then some of that fun can get lost.
We do encourage a desire to be seen by an audience, but try not to push it. When our members are ready, as a group, then that will become our focus.
