Performance Plaza was founded in 2005 and since that time we have provided workshops in guitar tuition, drama, samba sessions, confidence building, creative writing and basically anything that falls under ’the arts’, at minimal cost, to everyone.
Recently we have been gifted a building from our local council, and will only rent the land it sits on. This opportunity will allow us to offer so much more than we already have, and more regularly A dedicated building is everything. We intend to have a small recording studio, workshop room, office and storage.
Unfortunately, the pre fab building needs a lot of work. It needs walls down, a new roof, damp proofing and generally making safe to allow it’s use.
The Arts Hub, as it will be called, will be amazing.
Please help us to get it there. x Donations can be made below.
PLAZA – A public square or similar open area in a town or city.
Performance Plaza is a not-for-profit organisation, founded in 2005 by Paul J, Burgess and Jason D. Bromley, with funding supplied at the time by Dorothy Bogdan, literally an ‘Angel in America’.
The idea behind Performance Plaza is a simple one. It is the plan to use performance art as a tool to aid the learning, adapting, growth and bonding within local communities.
Imagine a Drama group in every Community that every person can afford to be a member of. Imagine special shows produced for Schools and Youth Groups with Educational content. Content developed with the input of the Parents. Imagine a place where new Playwrights can have actors read through their work in a performance set up.
Imagine being able to learn to play the Guitar with a borrowed instrument, at a cost of only one pound per workshop.
Imagine no more!
